The Adventure Journal compiled a list of nineteen awesome hikes that are less than five miles long. During the summer, I find that a lot of my friends and family want to go on a hike, but do not necessarily want to or have the ability spend all day conquering a mountain. This list is great for finding hikes that show off the scenery of a park and are accessible to hikers of all levels. I particularly recommend their #3 pick, Tall Trees Trail, in Redwoods National Park and their #9 pick, Hidden Lake Overlook in Glacier National Park, both are excellent easy and scenic hikes.
