The man who invented GPS died today. It struck me that a company named Gaia GPS owes this man a lot, and I admit that I only learned about him because of his passing.
I felt a greater sadness when Steve Jobs died, but that’s probably a product of his dynamic public persona, and the wave of media that came after his death.
